The Financial Controller will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity, managing manufacturing costs, overseeing key accounting processes, and supporting logistics operations. This role will closely collaborate with the global Finance team and will play a critical part in establishing and scaling the financial function as the plant grows.

Descripción

  • Lead all financial control activities for the plant, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with global policies.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings, as well as financial statements and corporate reporting.
  • Manage core accounting processes: manufacturing costing, AP, reconciliations, system integrity, VAT calculations, and general compliance.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of gross margin, gross profit, manufacturing variances, and operational KPIs.
  • Support IMMEX, OEM, import and export operations, and intercompany flows.
  • Lead end-to-end costing processes for manufacturing operations (raw materials, injection molding, production flows).
  • Identify and analyze cost variances; propose cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement ideas.
  • Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Production teams.
  • Manage inventory finance processes, landed cost analysis, and intercompany cost structures.
  • Contribute to building a long-term, high-retention company.
  • Be actively involved in the plant's start-up and future growth phases.

Perfil buscado

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in finance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing costing (required).
  • Experience in logistics, imports, warehousing, IMMEX, OEM (preferred).
  • Background in general manufacturing, contract manufacturing, plastics, electronics, or consumer goods.
  • Advanced English (daily communication with international stakeholders).
  • Experience with any ERP system.
  • Strong ethical standards, humility, teamwork, and long-term mindset.
