The main responsibilities include:

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, G/L, Inventory/Cost Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Treasury, and Revenue Recognition
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies & procedures
  • Partners with strategic business unit leaders on the development of operating reviews, annual operating plans, and long range planning processes
  • Implements financial plans and policies for the business unit
  • Partners with manufacturing/operation teams to continuously improve strategies and drive business results
  • Develops forecasting models and identifies potential areas of opportunities and risks
  • Prepares and consolidates business plans, including the annual budget process, and all additional periodic forecasts requested by business leaders
  • Manages general accounting functions and develops team responsible for the preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results
  • Performs a variety of financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, assisting with financial planning, performing research and analysis, preparing reports, providing project teams with financial guidance and assistance
  • Leads and participates directly with the monthly close processes and insures the site is in alignment with corporate policies and practices
  • Analyzes variances and communicates explanations to management with recommended actions
  • Support Plant Manager in developing result presentations, site key metrics, site financials, and reports in alignment with the specified requirements
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
  • Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to auditors
  • Prepares forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for the Plant
  • Must work across organization boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant and company's objectives
  • Integrates and trains new staff while leading the continued professional development of the existing team
  • Provides proactive/unsolicited consultation, interpretation and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental and site leaders used to drive business decisions
  • Collaborates with Plant Manager, plant Key Staff and senior management to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations, and lead the development of complex analysis
  • Monitor and implement plant internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks
  • Ensures proper accounting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as local statutory requirements
  • Leads projects and directly participates with efforts that improve operating profit
  • Ensures inventory accuracy controls are in place and are continuously being followed and improved
  • Manages to have an accurate and appropriate costing of all inventories including Finished Goods, Work-in-Process, Raw Materials, by conducting periodic reviews of controls and applying USGAAP and Company's policies & procedures
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed

Perfil buscado (Hombre / Mujer)

Candidate's requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, a Master's degree is preferred
  • Over 5 years of experience in a similar position in a Global Manufacturing Company
  • Experience working with major ERP systems (Oracle is preferred) and major financial consolidation systems (Hyperion is preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of USGAAP
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and BI Analytical tools
  • Previous experience in an Accounting firm is preferred
  • Fluent in English oral and written is a must
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Goal oriented, highly driven & influential
