Descripción

  • Lead all purchasing activities for the startup and plant ramp‑up phases.
  • Oversee the transfer of MRP and MRO processes from a U.S. facility, ensuring operational readiness and continuity of supply.
  • Manage procurement of direct and indirect materials, including MRP and MRO.
  • Manage supplier onboarding, qualification, development, and performance tracking.
  • Identify and evaluate alternative suppliers to mitigate risk and secure uninterrupted supply.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with cross‑border operational and procurement teams.
  • Implement procurement processes, standards, and best practices aligned with corporate requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Production teams.
  • Support internal KPIs, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the operational stabilization, scaling, and long‑term procurement strategy of the new facility.



Perfil buscado

A successful candidate should have:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in purchasing, covering both direct and indirect materials (MRP/MRO).
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience as a Purchasing Lead, Supervisor, Superintendent, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with key commodities, including metals (steel, aluminum, copper) and electronic components.
  • Proven background in plant transfers, start‑ups, or major operational ramp‑ups.
  • Experience collaborating with U.S.-based suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier‑management, and vendor‑performance capabilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Advanced English (technical and business communication).
  • Currently based in Tijuana or surrounding areas.
  • Valid passport, U.S. visa, and availability for business travel.
