The Sales Manager serves as the company´s main customer interface, driving the sales process, gathering market insights, and expanding the customer base through new opportunities.The Sales Manager develops and executes strategic sales plans aligned with business targets and budgets to foster growth in the assigned area.

  • Explore opportunities and find new contacts.
  • Build a strong network of stakeholders.
  • Understand business models and decision-making processes.
  • Recognize market potential early on by compiling, analyzing, and forecasting markets and application trends and update the customer team.
  • Define and pursue realistic opportunities.
  • Document, communicate and progress defined opportunities using the relevant tools (Salesforce).
  • Follow and understand competitors' actions in the relevant market(s) and follow up / report to Business Team / Customer Team.
  • Develop the optimum value proposition.
  • Prepare and communicate the offer and quotations appropriately (Salesforce).
  • Negotiate the proposal with the goal to close the deal at the most favorable conditions for the company.
  • Finalize the deal, initiate the order process, and communicate results to the customer team.
  • Support and act as an intermediary for any questions regarding products, technical support, product safety and sustainability.
  • Manage prices on a regular basis.
  • Implement agreed sales plans by monitoring fulfilment of the plans, and compiling deviation analyses (e.g., in monthly reports).

Perfil buscado

  • University degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent.
  • 2+ years' experience in a Sales, Marketing or Technical Application role are preferred.
  • Fundamental commercial knowledge with a good understanding of the organization, its strategic direction and products, markets, and future potential.
  • Chemical-technical knowledge, particularly regarding the markets and products in the areas of responsibility (Personal & Home care).
  • Special knowledge about logistical and technical processes.
  • Good IT knowledge of Salesforce, MS Office, SAP Business Objects.
  • Proper English language skills, additional languages (German and/or local languages) are preferred.
  • Business Acumen.
  • Understanding of the selling and buying cycle.
