Reporting directly to the Regional Controller and with a dotted line to the Plant Manager, the Plant Controller will be responsible for leading the full financial management of two manufacturing plants located in Guanajuato. This includes ownership of the P&L, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with corporate and U.S. GAAP standards.

Descripción

Reporting to the Regional Controller and with a dotted line to the U.S. Plant Manager, the Plant Controller will be responsible for the complete financial management of two manufacturing plants located within the same site.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all accounting operations, monthly closings, and financial statements.
  • Manage the plant's P&L, ensuring accurate reporting and financial integrity.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, US GAAP, and corporate accounting policies.
  • Supervise cost accounting, product costing, and inventory valuation.
  • Manage and develop a team of 4 -10.
  • Support audits, tax filings, and IMSS reporting obligations.
  • Collaborate with Plant and Corporate leadership to support business decisions.
  • Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.

Perfil buscado

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Título y Cédula required).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Plant Controller in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, costing, and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on approach with ability to execute journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP (FICO and costing modules).
  • Fluent English - comfortable reporting and presenting to U.S. management.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams.
  • Experience with Hyperion or OneStream.
  • Familiarity with IMMEX / maquiladora operations.
  • Exposure to corporate financial planning and business plan development.
