As a Traffic and Shipping Manager, you will oversee the transportation and shipping of large steel components, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Oversee the transportation of oversized steel products, optimizing load configurations and routes to maximize efficiency.
  • Manage all aspects of shipping documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with a team to identify and implement cost-saving measures in shipping processes.
  • Utilize ERP systems (SAP preferred) to handle shipping data and documentation.
  • Develop operational strategies to maintain and improve the company's logistics network.

Perfil buscado

The ideal candidate for the Traffic and Shipping Manager role will bring extensive experience in managing the logistics of large-scale shipments with a strong background in optimizing transportation and shipping processes.

  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing teams within traffic and shipping operations.
  • Experience working in Make-To-Order production environments.
  • Strong critical thinking skills for process improvement and cost-saving adjustments.
  • Proven ability to handle detailed shipping documentation and utilize ERP systems (SAP experience preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve logistical issues.
  • Ability to manage a logistics budget and analyse expenses.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of logistics technology and best practices.
  • Team management proven capability.
