The Supplier Quality Manager will lead the Global Supplier Quality Engineering function, overseeing Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) across multiple sites. This role is responsible for driving supplier quality performance, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards, and acting as the main escalation point for critical multi‑site supplier quality issues.

  • Lead and coordinate Global Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) and site Supplier Quality teams across sites, ensuring alignment, consistency, and best practices globally.
  • Ensure that product, program, and quality requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and deployed to suppliers in close collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality.
  • Represent Quality in Supplier Quality Sessions and support Commodity Management in the evaluation, selection, and qualification of new and alternative suppliers.
  • Conduct joint quality planning with suppliers (SQAR) to proactively mitigate quality risks using APQP, PPAP, and related methodologies.
  • Work closely with suppliers throughout contract execution, ensuring compliance and early issue detection.
  • Obtain and validate proof of conformance (e.g., FAI for NPI and COTS parts) through audits, assessments, and supplier evaluations.
  • Analyze supplier quality KPIs and performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and lead corrective actions through SCAR+ and InControl projects.
  • Act as the primary escalation point and main point of contact for major, high‑impact, multi‑site supplier quality issues.

Perfil buscado

A successful Supplier Quality Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Management.
  • Strong background in aerospace quality standards and requirements is preferred (AS9100, NADCAP).
  • Solid experience with root cause analysis, 8D problem solving, and continuous improvement methodologies. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus.
  • In‑depth knowledge of PPAP, APQP, and AS13XXX standards.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and working cross‑functionally with Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality during product development.
  • Knowledge of aerospace electrical products, processes, and technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
