The Tax Director will oversee all tax-related functions within the Accounting & Finance department, ensuring compliance and optimizing tax strategies. This role requires expertise in the industrial/manufacturing sector and a strong ability to manage tax planning and reporting processes effectively.

Descripción

  • Serve as the main point of contact with SAT authorities, managing all interactions and ensuring timely responses.
  • Lead the Dictamen Fiscal process by coordinating with auditors, setting timelines, tracking deliverables, and ensuring smooth execution.
  • Oversee annual income tax return preparation and filing, monitoring tax balances and communicating significant variances to the corporate tax team.
  • Direct quarterly tax provisions, monthly effective tax rate calculations, and cash tax forecasts, including variance reviews and coordination of required journal entries.
  • Supervise PTU and taxable income forecasts to support corporate planning.
  • Manage thin capitalization and 30% interest limitation evaluations, including scenario modeling for proposed transactions.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for cash and permanent tax savings, such as installment reductions, recoverable income tax credits, and VAT refunds.
  • Ensure compliance with monthly, quarterly, and annual tax obligations, including installment payments and VAT filings, while reviewing monthly activity for irregularities and correct tax treatment.

Perfil buscado

A successful Tax Director should have:

  • Proven experience leading tax functions as a Tax Director in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations in Mexico and internationally
  • Proven expertise in the industrial/manufacturing industry
  • Exceptional skills in tax planning, reporting, and compliance
  • Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Advanced English
