Descripción

  • Lead all accounting operations for the Mexican entity, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Financial Close.
  • Ensure compliance with Mexican GAAP (NIF), IFRS reporting requirements, and applicable financial regulations.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting obligations and relationships with relevant authorities.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Coordinate internal, external, and regulatory audits.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and corporate governance standards.
  • Partner with regional and global finance teams for consolidation and reporting activities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the local accounting team.
  • Collaborate with tax stakeholders to support compliance with VAT, income tax, payroll taxes, and other statutory obligations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes, systems, and controls.

Perfil buscado

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA / Contador Público).
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience.



Essential Experience

  • Strong expertise in Mexican accounting standards (NIF), IFRS, and Mexican tax regulations.
  • Proven experience within SOFOMs, banks, credit institutions, lending platforms, or other regulated financial services organizations.
  • Hands-on exposure to regulatory reporting and audit processes.
  • Experience managing accounting functions within multinational organizations.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls, compliance frameworks, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Advanced ERP knowledge and strong financial reporting capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success leading accounting teams and improving processes within regulated environments.
