We are looking for a Plant Controller to lead the finance and accounting function of an automotive manufacturing plant in Guanajuato. The role offers strong international exposure, partnering with Plant leadership and Corporate stakeholders in Europe. We seek a dynamic finance leader with strong technical expertise, leadership skills and a business-oriented mindset to drive financial performance and continuous improvement.

Descripción

  • Lead the finance and accounting function of the manufacturing plant.
  • Report financial results and KPIs to Corporate stakeholders in Italy/Europe.
  • Partner with the Plant Director and senior leadership on financial and operational decision-making.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual closing processes through OneStream.
  • Prepare, analyze and interpret monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial projections to support business decisions.
  • Analyze operational and financial KPIs and identify opportunities for cost savings and performance improvement.
  • Oversee internal controls, financial policies and audit activities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, financial and SOX requirements.
  • Oversee OPEX, CAPEX, standard costing and production cost analysis.
  • Coordinate accounting activities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal and tax obligations, including SAT requirements, VAT refunds and fiscal audits.
  • Support consolidation and treasury activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant's financial performance.
  • Work closely with different departments to provide financial analysis, recommendations and business insights.
  • Lead and develop a team of 4 accounting professionals.
  • Collaborate with Corporate and Plant stakeholders in a fast-paced environment where production plans and business priorities may change.



Systems and technical knowledge: SAP FICO, OneStream, Power BI, financial and cost accounting systems.

Perfil buscado

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Finance or Tax is desirable.
  • 10-15 years of experience in accounting and finance.
  • Minimum 5 years in managerial or leadership positions, preferably within automotive manufacturing.
  • Advanced English is essential.
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Solid knowledge of NIF, IFRS/NIIF and US GAAP.
  • Knowledge of Mexican tax regulations, including SAT, CFF, LISR and LIVA.
  • Experience with VAT refunds, fiscal audits and tax compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing, cost accounting, consolidation and treasury.
  • Experience with SOX and internal controls.
  • Advanced or strong working knowledge of SAP FICO, OneStream and Power BI.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail and strong business orientation.
