Join a global manufacturer as a Cost Accountant, partnering closely with Operations and Finance to drive cost visibility, standard costing accuracy, inventory controls, and strategic insights across the plant. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing finance professional with strong SAP expertise, advanced English, and deep experience in costing within maquila environments.

The Finance team plays a critical role in enhancing operational performance, cost optimization, and business strategy across the plant. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside Manufacturing, Operations, and Finance teams while driving cost visibility, standard costing accuracy, and financial performance improvements across the site.

Descripción

  • Manage local Cost Accounting activities for the manufacturing site.
  • Maintain and review standard costs, BOMs, inventory reconciliations, and manufacturing cost structures.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, cost reports, and month-end close activities.
  • Review manufacturing variances, overhead absorption, scrap, and other key plant cost drivers.
  • Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Accounting teams to improve cost accuracy and operational performance.
  • Maintain inventory controls, cycle count programs, and SOX compliance processes.
  • Prepare reports that inform operational and financial planning.
  • Serve as a liaison between the plant and corporate finance stakeholders.
  • Participate in ERP enhancements, finance transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.

Perfil buscado

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required. No other career backgrounds will be considered.
  • Advanced English communication skills.
  • Proven Cost Accounting experience within manufacturing and/or maquila environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI capabilities.
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing costing concepts, including standard costing, BOM management, overhead allocation, inventory, and cost KPIs.
  • Experience within Medical Device, Aerospace, Automotive, or similarly structured manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, business partnering capabilities, and ability to influence operational strategies.
  • Exposure to ERP implementations, finance transformation projects, automation, AI, or advanced reporting tools is a plus.
