We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in product design and development to support the creation of mechanical solutions used in electrical distribution and energy infrastructure equipment. The role will collaborate with engineering teams in Mexico and the United States on product design, improvement, and technical support within a growing Engineering Shared Services Center.
  • +3 years of experience in electrical distribution or energy infrastructure.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Sheet Metal, GD&T, and mechanical design.

Our client is a global company specializing in electrical infrastructure and power distribution solutions, with operations across the United States and Mexico. As part of its continued growth, the organization is launching a new Engineering Technical Center in Tijuana to support product development and engineering services for industrial and energy markets.

Descripción

  • Design and develop mechanical components, structures, and assemblies for electrical distribution equipment.
  • Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation using SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams in Mexico and the United States on product development and improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in design-for-manufacturing projects focused on quality, efficiency, and cost optimization.
  • Evaluate technical requirements and develop solutions for multiple business units.
  • Provide engineering support to manufacturing facilities across Mexico and the United States.
  • Work cross-functionally to implement product changes and engineering improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of new products within the Engineering Technical Center.

Perfil buscado

The successful applicant should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in product design and development within industrial environments.
  • Experience in electrical distribution, power infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Strong SolidWorks skills for 3D modeling, mechanical design, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of Sheet Metal, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Mexico and the United States.
  • Experience developing technical solutions for complex industrial products.
  • Professional English communication skills for international projects and meetings.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Interest in growing within a newly established Engineering Center with long-term career development opportunities.
