We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong interest in mechanical design, power distribution equipment, and engineering development. This position plays a crucial role in designing mechanical structures and bussing systems for low- and medium-voltage switchgear, panelboards, and related electrical equipment. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone passionate about technical problem-solving and product design.

Descripción

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design and development of electrical power distribution equipment. In this role, you will:

  • Design mechanical structures and bussing systems for LV and MV switchgear assemblies.
  • Review customer specifications, project requirements, and engineering documentation.
  • Utilize CAD and 3D modeling tools to develop product designs and drawings.
  • Support manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams in resolving technical issues.
  • Evaluate and select mechanical components, fabrication materials, and design solutions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design efficiency and product quality.
  • Support new product development efforts and stay current with emerging industry technologies.
  • Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders when required.

Perfil buscado

As a Mechanical Engineer , you will play a key role in supporting the design and development of electrical power distribution equipment. The succesfull candidate will:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Bring up to 2 years of engineering, design, or technical experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical design principles, fabrication processes, and engineering fundamentals.
  • Possess experience or exposure to AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PDM, or similar CAD platforms.
  • Show strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Be highly motivated to learn electrical power equipment design, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Exhibit a continuous improvement mindset and commitment to quality and safety standards.
