We are seeking a Operations Jr. Manager with strong expertise in manufacturing operations, labor relations, and continuous improvement. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring operational continuity, cost control, and efficiency across production lines in a high-pressure setting. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone passionate about driving shop floor results and leading teams in complex manufacturing environments.

As a Operations Jr. Manager you will play a key role in overseeing manufacturing operations and driving operational excellence. In this role, you will:

  • Lead daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and output targets are consistently met.
  • Manage and develop a team of production supervisors, operators, and support staff.
  • Oversee unionized workforce management, including labor negotiations and conflict resolution.
  • Drive production planning activities, including BOM management and material flow optimization.
  • Implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, One Piece Flow, Six Sigma).
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems and manufacturing standards.
  • Monitor and control production costs, including absorption costing and budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as quality, engineering, and supply chain.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, ensuring operational stability and rapid issue resolution

Perfil buscado

The successfull Operations Jr. Manager will:

  • Bring solid experience in production management, line operations, and leadership of supervisory teams.
  • Demonstrate strong experience managing unionized personnel and labor negotiations.
  • Apply knowledge of production planning, BOM structures, and materials management.
  • Have hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Possess knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and standards.
  • Demonstrate solid financial understanding (P&L, budgeting, direct and indirect costs).
  • Have proven experience in cost control and absorption costing methodologies.
  • Bring experience in metal-mechanical industries such as machining, grinding, or heat treatment.
  • Show strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Be proficient in SAP or Oracle (preferred) and advanced Excel.
