Descripción

The Customs & Trade Compliance Manager will be responsible for leading customs and trade compliance activities across multiple manufacturing divisions operating under the same legal entity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead all customs compliance and trade operations activities.
  • Prepare the organization for OEA certification and support continuous compliance initiatives.
  • Manage customs audits, governmental inspections, penalties, and regulatory matters.
  • Partner with external advisors and customs consultants to strengthen processes and controls.
  • Drive compliance assessments and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with security, warehouse, finance, operations, and corporate compliance teams.
  • Ensure accurate customs documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and mentor team members, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performance environment.
  • Promote effective communication and influence across departments and organizational levels.
  • Support strategic trade compliance initiatives involving both Mexican and U.S. customs operations.



Perfil buscado

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business, Logistics, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Customs, Trade Compliance, Import/Export, or related areas.
  • Experience managing customs audits, government inspections, regulatory compliance, and penalties.
  • Strong understanding of Mexican customs regulations and maquiladora operations.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs, CTPAT, OEA, and international trade compliance programs.
  • Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and talent development.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience working in manufacturing or maquiladora environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced English communication skills.
