Descripción

  • Lead purchasing operations across two manufacturing plants, ensuring continuous and efficient supply.
  • Manage metal commodities (steel, aluminum, and copper - critical) as well as MRO and indirect materials.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, and Warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent line stoppages.
  • Ensure proper execution and follow-up of MRP processes and demand planning.
  • Monitor and manage key KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turnover, lead time compliance, cost savings, and purchasing efficiency.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies focused on cost optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and develop national and international suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards (ISO, IATF).
  • Lead and develop the purchasing team (MRP and MRO), driving structure, KPI follow-up, and talent development.
  • Strengthen and formalize processes within a fast-growing, evolving operation.

Perfil buscado

A successful Purchasing Manager should have:

  • A degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • +10 years of experience in purchasing within manufacturing environments
  • Current or past experienice as leading manager of a purchasing team.
  • Strong experience in MRO and MRP
  • Proven experience managing metal commodities (steel, aluminum, and copper - mandatory)
  • Background in fast-growing, transformation, or low-process-maturity environments is highly valued
